Safari tours from Belek

Belek lies east of Antalya in the Serik district and is known for its golf courses and family resorts, with Kadriye and Boğazkent lining the same stretch of beach and pine forests between the hotels and the sea. The Taurus Mountains, though, are never far away. From Belek you can spend a day in the mountain villages, take the wheel of a quad or a buggy, paddle down a canyon river or cruise a turquoise lake, and every tour comes with free hotel pickup.

The Belek Jeep Safari heads north via Gebiz into the Taurus foothills. Experienced drivers handle the dirt tracks while you take in the views. The route climbs to Yumaklar, a village at about 920 metres, where you visit a village house, and continues to a mountain waterfall with a natural pool for a swim. Lunch is served at a mountain restaurant.

Quad and buggy safaris near Kurşunlu

For a shorter adventure, the off-road park lies in the countryside of Kurşunlu near Aksu, between Belek and Antalya, about 30–40 minutes from the hotels. On the Belek Quad Safari you ride your own ATV; on the Belek Buggy Safari you sit behind a steering wheel with a seat belt. Both follow dirt tracks through the forest, with mud and water crossings, and include about 1.5 hours of riding in a four-hour trip, in a morning or an afternoon group.

No driving licence is needed: drivers must be at least 16 (under-18s only with a parent’s consent), and passengers can ride along from the age of 7. Helmets are compulsory, and an instructor gives a safety briefing and a short practice before you set off. The Kurşunlu Waterfall nature park is nearby, but it is not part of these tours.

Rafting, zipline and the Green Canyon

Köprülü Canyon National Park is closer to Belek than to any other resort on the coast – about 45 to 60 minutes by road. On the Belek Rafting Tour you paddle about 14 km of the Köprüçay river through class II–III rapids, with an instructor in every raft, swim stops and lunch at a riverside restaurant. Thanks to the life jacket you don’t need to swim, but you should be comfortable in water; the minimum age is 7. For a little extra excitement, Belek Zipline & Rafting adds a short zipline ride at the rafting base, over or along the river.

For a calm day on the water, choose the Belek Green Canyon Boat Tour. The Green Canyon is the lake of the Oymapınar Dam in the mountains north of Manavgat, with turquoise-green water between steep, forested walls. You cruise for about two to three hours, stop once or twice for a swim and have lunch, and soft drinks on the boat are included.

Which Belek tour suits you?

  • Families with young children: the jeep safari or the Green Canyon boat tour. Nobody has to drive or paddle, and there are tickets for infants and children.
  • First-timers: rafting on class II–III rapids, with an instructor in every raft and no swimming skills required.
  • Adrenaline fans: the quad or buggy safari, or zipline and rafting on the same day.
  • Golfers and anyone short on time: the half-day quad and buggy groups leave the rest of the day free for the course or the beach.

Looking for something quieter? The Belek Horse Riding Tour takes you through the pine forests and sandy dunes close to the hotels, with a short photo stop on the beach. No riding experience is needed, children can join from the age of 8, and the three-hour trip runs in a morning and a sunset group – easy to fit around golf or a beach day.

Hotel pickup, payment and practical tips

We pick you up free of charge from hotels in Belek, Kadriye, Boğazkent and Serik. Your pickup time depends on where your hotel is and is sent to you after booking. You pay nothing when you book: payment is in cash on the tour day, in euros or in US dollars, pounds or Turkish lira at the day’s rate. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour, and after confirmation you receive a QR e-ticket by e-mail. Our guides speak Turkish, English, German and Russian.

Rafting runs mainly from April to October, with some days in November depending on water and weather. In the hot summer months the morning quad and buggy group is the cooler option. Whichever tour you choose, sunscreen, a hat and a change of clothes are worth packing.

Belek: frequently asked questions

Do you pick up from hotels in Kadriye, Boğazkent and Serik?

Yes. Free hotel pickup on our Belek tours covers Belek itself as well as Kadriye, Boğazkent and Serik, and our vehicle collects you at your hotel entrance. Because the pickup time depends on where your hotel is, we send you the exact time after booking. If you are staying outside these areas, please ask us before you book.

How far is Köprülü Canyon from Belek?

Köprülü Canyon National Park is about 45–60 minutes by road from Belek – closer than from any other resort on the coast. That short drive gives the Belek rafting and zipline tours a relaxed start: after the briefing you spend about two to two and a half hours on the Köprüçay river, followed by lunch at a riverside restaurant, and you are back at your hotel in the late afternoon.

Does the Belek quad or buggy safari visit the Kurşunlu Waterfall?

No. The off-road park is in the Kurşunlu countryside near Aksu, about 30–40 minutes from Belek, and the Kurşunlu Waterfall nature park lies nearby, but it is not part of the ride. The quad and buggy tours follow forest dirt tracks with mud and water crossings. If you would like a waterfall swim, the Belek Jeep Safari stops at a mountain waterfall with a natural pool.

I'm in Belek for golf – which safari fits around a round?

The quad and buggy safaris are half-day trips of about four hours, with a morning group and an afternoon group, and the off-road park near Kurşunlu is only 30–40 minutes from the hotels. You can ride in the morning and play in the afternoon, or the other way round. The jeep safari, rafting and Green Canyon tours take up most of the day, so plan them for a day off the course.
