Cookie Policy

Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file that a website places in your browser when you visit it. We keep their use to a minimum: the cookies set by this site only make it more convenient to use.

Cookies set by this website

  • ast_cur (currency): remembers the currency you selected for prices and is kept for one year.
  • ast_lang_seen (language): is kept for 30 days and makes sure that the automatic language redirect only happens on your first visit.

Neither cookie is used for advertising or to follow you across other websites. The forms on this site (booking, contact and reviews) work without cookies of their own, and WordPress login cookies are only used when site administrators sign in.

Visit statistics, only with your consent

If visit statistics are switched on, a banner asks for your permission first. Google Analytics is loaded only after you click “Accept”; before that, no data is sent to Google. Your choice is saved in the local storage of your browser under the name ast_consent. After you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (such as _ga) to count visits, with its advertising features switched off. If you delete the stored site data in your browser, Google Analytics will not load again until you agree once more.

Spam protection

The booking form may use Google reCAPTCHA to keep out automated spam. When it is active, Google receives technical data from your browser as the form loads and may set its own cookies for this purpose.

Managing cookies

Your browser lets you remove cookies or refuse them altogether. Without the two cookies above, the site simply forgets your currency choice; browsing and booking keep working as usual.

How we handle personal data in general is described in our privacy policy. If we add other tools in the future, we will update this page.
