Zipline in Antalya comes in two very different forms. In Köprülü Canyon, short lines run over or along the Köprüçay river at the rafting bases and are part of a full day of rafting. Near Kemer, the canyon park at Göynük has two lines and a suspension bridge about 40 metres up, and makes a compact half-day trip. Which one is right for you depends on where you are staying, how much time you have and the age of the youngest in your group.
Zipline over the Köprüçay: part of a rafting day
At the rafting bases of Köprülü Canyon National Park, the zipline is a short add-on to the river. The lines cross or follow the Köprüçay, and their length differs from base to base, usually a few hundred metres. You ride in a harness, an instructor gets you ready and sends you off, and the ride normally takes place before or after the rafting. The minimum age is about 7.
The rest of the day belongs to the river: about 14 km of class II–III rapids, swim stops and lunch at a riverside restaurant. This combination runs from four resorts: the Side Zipline & Rafting, Manavgat Zipline & Rafting, Belek Zipline & Rafting and Antalya Zipline & Rafting tours. From Alanya, the Alanya Rafting, Buggy & Zipline Combo adds a buggy ride of about 25 minutes. Our Köprülü Canyon rafting guide explains the river day and the transfer times in detail.
Göynük Canyon: a half-day zipline near Kemer
The canyon park lies near Göynük, one of the resort areas on the Kemer coast. It has two zipline lines and a suspension bridge, about 40 metres high, and on the lines you reach speeds of up to roughly 65 km/h. The activity itself takes about an hour, and the canyon also has a walking path and natural pools, so the morning does not end the moment you unclip.
The Kemer Zipline in Göynük Canyon picks you up at around 09:30 and has you back at your hotel by about 14:00. Lunch is not included, and the canyon entrance fee is paid on site. Children can take part from about 5 years, and every rider must weigh between 20 and 100 kg. More ideas for your stay are on the Kemer safari tours page.
Köprülü or Göynük: the differences
- Time: Göynük is a half day; the Köprülü zipline comes with a full rafting day of about 8–10 hours, depending on your resort.
- Where from: Göynük is reached from the Kemer hotels; the zipline and rafting days start from Side, Manavgat, Belek, Antalya and Alanya.
- The ride: Göynük has two lines and a suspension bridge about 40 m high; the river lines are short and only one part of a busy day.
- Age: from about 5 in Göynük (20–100 kg); from 7 on the zipline and rafting days.
- Lunch: included on the zipline and rafting tours; not included in Göynük, where you are back around lunchtime anyway.
- Extras: the Göynük canyon entrance fee is paid on site; at the rafting bases, shoe rental, wetsuits, phone pouches and photos are sold separately.
- Getting wet: guaranteed on a rafting day; in Göynük you stay dry unless you choose to cool off at the natural pools.
Safety, age and weight
On both ziplines you ride in a harness, and an instructor fits it, checks it and explains how to ride before you set off. Tell us the ages of all riders when you book, and for Göynük make sure everyone is within the 20–100 kg range. On the zipline and rafting days the rafting rules apply as well: life jacket and helmet on the river, an instructor in every raft, no swimming skills required but you must be comfortable in water, and under-18s take part with a parent. Rafting is not suitable for pregnant guests; if you are pregnant or have a health condition, please ask us before booking a zipline too.
What to wear and bring
- Trainers or other closed shoes that fasten firmly; no flip-flops
- Shorts or trousers rather than a dress or skirt, as the harness sits around your legs
- Long hair tied back, and nothing loose around your neck
- A zipped pocket for your phone, or leave it with someone on the ground
- For Göynük: cash for the canyon entrance fee, water and a snack, plus a swimsuit and towel if you want time at the natural pools
- For zipline and rafting: a swimsuit, a towel, water shoes and a complete change of dry clothes
Which zipline suits you?
- Staying in Kemer, short on time or travelling with 5- or 6-year-olds: Göynük Canyon. You are back by early afternoon with the rest of the day free.
- Looking for a full adventure day: zipline and rafting from Side, Manavgat, Belek or Antalya.
- Three activities in one day from Alanya: the rafting, buggy and zipline combo.
- Not keen on heights: the rafting tours from every resort also run without a zipline.
In Kemer for a week? The Göynük zipline fits neatly alongside a day in the mountains by jeep; our Kemer jeep safari guide describes that route. Whichever zipline you choose, booking is quick on the tour page or via WhatsApp, payment is in cash on the tour day and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.
